The ‘Youth and Religion’ conference is held in Moscow region

The 6^th Moscow regional scientific conference on ‘Youth and religion’ was held in Moscow Region. The conference took place in frameworks of the Agreement on cooperation between the Committee on Youth Affairs of Moscow region and the Moscow Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The theme of the conference is ‘Youth and new religious associations’.

Some 200 people and 46 municipal institutes of Moscow Region participated in the work of the conference. They discussed prospects of cooperation between the Church, executive bodies and public organizations in the struggle against pernicious influence of sects on young citizens of Russia. The reports on the most notorious and dangerous destructive cults were delivered.
