Exhibition of Russian Orthodox icons in Italy

Russian Orthodox icons are exhibited at ‘Mondo Antico’ in Verona. The exhibition was sponsored by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization to mark its 60th anniversary.

A part of the Orler collection, one of the richest private collections of Russian icon-painting widely known in Italy is exhibited, which includes some two hundred masterpieces of Orthodox icon-painting of the 15th-20th cc. These icons are exhibited regularly in different cities of Italy. Exhibitions in Naples, Viterbo and Turin are planned for the next year.
