Orthodox demand to return the church of St. Alexander of Neva in Kiev to the canonical Church

Orthodox brotherhood of St. Alexander of Neva demanded to return the church of this saint to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

‘The further irrational use of the only church of St. Alexander of Neva in Kiev, glorified as a protector of Orthodoxy from Western invaders, is continuation of the theomachist and blasphemous policy against Orthodox shrines’, the brotherhood’s statement reads.

According to the document cited on the web-site of the Ukrainian Church, earlier Orthodox believers addressed the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry with an official letter on ‘persistent failure to return the building of the church’ belonging to the Foreign Ministry complex.
