On 24 November 2005, Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Viktor Chernomyrdin presented His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine with the Order of Honor for the development of spiritual and cultural traditions and strengthening Russian-Ukrainian relations.
