On 13 November 2005, His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia on his primatial visit in Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy of the Kishinev Cathedral church of the Nativity of Christ.

Concelebrating with the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church were Metropolitans Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, Clement of Kaluga and Borovsk, Vladimir of Kishinev and All Moldova, Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail, Onufry of Chernovtsy and Bukovina, Archbishops Vikenty of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturje, Sergy of Ternopol and Kremenets, Pavel of Vyshgorod, Bishops Justinian of Tiraspol and Dubossary, Anatoly of Kagul and Komrat, Dorimedont of Edintsy and Brichany, and Alexander of Dmitrov.

A great many people met the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church at the Gates of Triumph. Present at the church were Moldavian president V.N.Voronin and other authorities of the Republic of Moldova.

Archimandrite Peter (Musteace) was consecrated Bishop of Nisporeny, vicar bishop of the Kishinev and Moldova Metropolia. When presenting him with a bishop’s staff, His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia addressed the newly consecrated bishop with the world of exhortation.
