The Monastery of St. Antony is revived in Khorobritsy

St. Anthony Monastery’s representation of the Holy Trinity in the Arhangelsk Diocese is moved to the village of Khorobritsy in thirty kilometers from the convent. There are about 50 cows and calves and 15 horses.

The cattle-breeding complex belonged to the Yemetsk sovkhoz, the farm fell into decay, the buildings became dilapidated and local residents asked the brothers of the monastery to revive the complex in order to create new working places for former collective farmers.

There is a Church of St. George in Khorobritsy. Hieromonk Bartholomew, a monk of the St. Anthony’s Monastery, provides spiritual care for the villagers and conducts Divine services regularly.
