The Federal Court confirms the rights of the diocese of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz

On September 26, 2005, the district court of arbitration considered a suit brought against the diocese of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz by the so-called ‘Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church’.

For two years, representatives of the ROAC have tried to legalize their claims to the Church of St. Olga Equal-to-the-Apostles in the city of Zheloznovodsk they seized in January 1993.

All their suits repeatedly considered by various courts in Zheloznovodsk, Stavropol and Krasnodar were dismissed. The rulings confirmed the right of the diocese of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz of the Russian Orthodox Church to St. Olga’s.

The same decision was made by the district court of arbitration on September 26, 2005, in Krasnodar and came into force immediately.
