Novorossijsk Cossack Society marks its anniversary

The Cossacks in Novorossijsk celebrated the 15^th anniversary of the Novorossijsk Cossack Society in a solemn ceremony.

Among the honorary guests of the celebrations were the deputy commander of the Novorossijsk naval base for education, A.Tomilin, and rector of the Cathedral of the Holy Dormition, Archpriest George Fedorenko. In his address, A.Tomilin expressed profound gratitude to the Cossacks for their active participation in the establishment and construction of the Novorossijsk naval base eleven years ago.

Diplomas were granted to many Cossacks-members of voluntary Cossack teams in acknowledgement of their considerable contribution to the protection of public order and struggle with crime.

Vladimir Sinyagovsky, a Cossack colonel and Novorossijsk mayor, presented the Cossack Society with 20 training sub-machine-guns to mark its 15^th anniversary.
