On 6 September 2005 the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church met in his working residence in Chisty pereulok with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary N.I.Sadchikov appointed representative of Russia in Vatican.
His Holiness congratulated N.I.Sadchikov with his new responsible appointment.
Discussed at the meeting were the problems of relations between the Russian Orthodox and the Roman Catholic Churches.
