His Holiness the Patriarch congratulates the new King of Saudi Arabia

His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia sent a congratulatory message to King Abdallah bin Abdel Aziz al-Saud on the occasion of his ascension to the throne of King of Saudi Arabia

Your Majesty,

 

Kindly accept my cordial congratulations on the occasion of your ascension to the royal throne.

 

I sincere wish you good health and peace. May the Most High strengthen you spiritually and physically in your efforts for the good of your subjects.

 

I hope for the development of good and friendly relations between Saudi Arabia and the peoples spiritually nourished by the Russian Orthodox Church. I am convinced that we will also be able to contribute together to the development of Christian-Muslim dialogue.
