His Holiness Awards Several Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church

On February 25, 2005, the Name-Day of Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness traditionally issued decrees awarding several archpastors.
Bishops Georgy of Lyudinovo, vicar of the Kaluga Diocese, Panteleimon of Maikop and Adygeia and Mark of Khabarovsk and Priamurye were elevated to the rank of archbishop.
Metropolitan Iov of Chelyabinsk and Zlatoust was awarded the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov, Class II, ‘in recognition of this zealous archpastoral service and on the occasions of the 30th anniversary of his episcopal consecration’.
Metropolitan Onufry of Chernovtsy and Bukovina was decorated with the Order of the Holy Prince Vladimir Equal-to-the-Apostles, ‘in recognition of his zealous archpastoral service and on the occasion of his 60th birthday’.
Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, vicar of the Diocese of Surozh, was awarded the Order of St. Innocent, Metropolitan of Moscow and Kolomna, Class II, ‘in recognition of his zealous archpastoral service and on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his ordination’.
Archbishop Maximilian of Volgograd and Veliky Ustyug received the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov, Class II, ‘in recognition of this zealous archpastoral service and on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his ordination’.
