Main Dome of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Kaliningrad Is Decorated with a Cross

Main dome of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Kaliningrad, which is under construction, was decorated with a six-meters’ cross on January 25, 2005. Before starting installation work the clergy of the Cathedral administered a prayerful service at a height of sixty meters.

 

All five golden domes are to be installed in February. It is planned to finish construction and installation work by July.

 

The main Orthodox church in the West of Russia is to be consecrated this year in the frameworks of the celebrations devoted to the 750^th anniversary of Kaliningrad.
