GREETINGS FROM PRESIDENT VLADIMIR V.PUTIN OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION ON THE OCCASION OF THE CENTENARY OF ST.NICHOLAS PATRIARCHAL CATHEDRAL IN NEW YORK
To the clergy and parishioners
of the Patriarchal parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in the USA
I congratulate the clergymen and parishioners of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA on the remarkable event – the centenary of St.Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in the New York City.
The Russian Orthodox Church plays an important role in the cause of uniting our compatriots, who, as fate has willed, have found themselves beyond the borders of their Motherland. St.Nichoilas Patriarchal Cathedral is a visible symbol of Russian spirituality and culture in America It is true that for many Russians, wherever they live, the service to the Fatherland remains a particular wish of their hearts and moral duty.
I am confident that spiritual ties between the Patriarchal parishes in the USA and Russia will become intensified and realized in common initiatives.
I wholeheartedly wish you good health, peace, prosperity and success.
V.Putin
