RECEPTION IS GIVEN IN THE EMBASSY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION IN ESTONIA IN HONOUR OF HIS HOLINESS PATRIARCH ALEXY II OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA
On 30 September 2003 His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia visited the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Estonia.
His Holiness congratulated the Ambassador K.K.Provalov on his birthday and presented him the jubilee medals issued in honour of the centenary of the canonization of St.Seraphim of Sarov, an ‘Orthodoxy in Estonia’ book, and an album issued for the 40th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II.
A reception was given in the Embassy in honour of His Holiness the Patriarch, attending which were representatives of the state authorities, public and business circles of Estonia and foreign diplomats.
His Holiness the Patriarch and members of the delegation who accompanied him had a talk with the Ambassador of Russia in Estonia. They discussed different aspect of the Russian-Estonian relations, including the prospects of the development of cultural, social and economic ties between the two countries, and the situation of the compatriots in Estonia.
K.K.Provalov presented the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church with a relief picture of the Tallinn Cathedral of the Holy and Right-Believing Prince Alexander Nevsky to remember his visit to the Embassy.
