Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of St.Alexander Nevsky in Tallinn on the Feast of the Elevation of the Honoured and Life-Creating Cross

PRIMATE OF THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH CELEBRATED DIVINE LITURGY IN THE CATHEDRAL OF ST.ALEXANDER NEVSKY IN TALLINN ON THE FEAST OF THE ELEVATION OF THE HONOURED AND LIFE-CREATING CROSS
On 27 September 2003 , the feast day of the Elevation of the Honoured and Life-Creating Cross, His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia celebrated the Divine Liturgy together with Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, Metropolitan Kornily of Tallinn and All Estonia, Metropolitan Alexander of Riga and All Latvia, Archbishop Arseny of Istra and Bishop Feognost of Sergiev Posad in the Cathedral of St.Alexander Nevsky in Tallinn.
Praying at the Divine service were over two thousand believers. Attending the service were the Ambassador of Estonia in the Russian Federation Karin Yaani and the Ambassador of Russia in the Estonian Republic K.K.Provalov.
After the Liturgy Metropolitan Kornily of Tallinn and All Estonia addressed His Holiness the Patriarch with a welcoming speech and presented the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church with the Icon of the Assembly of the Estonian saints as a prayerful token of his visit to Estonia.
His Holiness congratulated all those present with the great feast of the Elevation of the Honoured and Life-Creating Cross and presented liturgical vessels as a gift to the Cathedral.
After the Divine service His Holiness Patriarch Alexy visited Sunday school and workshops at the Cathedral of St.Alexander Nevsky.
