His Holiness Patriarch Alexy and Russian state officials to take part in the ceremony of opening the ‘Orthodox Russia’ exhibition

HIS HOLINESS PATRIARCH ALEXY AND RUSSIAN STATE OFFICIALS TO TAKE PART IN THE CEREMONY OF OPENING THE ‘ORTHODOX RUSSIA’ EXHIBITION

The ceremony of opening the ‘Orthodox Russia’ exhibition and the exposition entitled “St. Petersburg. 300 Years of the Spiritual History” will be held at Gostiny Dvor, at 4.00 p.m. on January 22, 3003.

The exhibition will show various aspects of life and work of the Russian Orthodox Church: its history, shrines, today’s ministry, management, production of Orthodox manufacturers, restoration of churches and monasteries, church art, publishing and agriculture. Expositions will present Synodal institutions and dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Churches, monasteries, churches, church related organizations, Orthodox publishers and mass media, pilgrim’s services, architectural, art and manufacturing workshops, bell-casting plants, jewellery firms, workshops of art and people’s crafts.

The opening ceremony will be attended by His Holiness Alexy II, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia and His Beatitude Ignatios IV, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Russian state officials, well-known public figures and statesmen.
