TAKINGS FROM A ROCK-CONCERT ARE USED TO RESTORE CHURCHES

A charitable rock-concert was held at the Ledovy Palace, St. Petersburg. Among its organizers was the Department for Youth Affairs of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

Performing in the concert were the renowned Russian rock-singers Yuri Shevshuk, Konstantin Kinchev, Viacheslav Butusov, Boris Grebenshikov, and others.

More than 13 thousand tickets were sold out in advance. The takings will be used to restore the churches at the higher education establishments of St. Petersburg.

As the organizers of the concert say, such actions give the Church an opportunity to address the young generation directly.
