Yugoslavian President Vojislav Kostunica celebrates His Holiness Patriarch Alexy and the Orthodox faithful in Russia on the Nativity of Christ and the New Year

YUGOSLAVIAN PRESIDENT VOJISLAV KOSTUNICA CELEBRATES HIS HOLINESS PATRIARCH ALEXY AND THE ORTHODOX FAITHFUL IN RUSSIA ON THE NATIVITY OF CHRIST AND THE NEW YEAR

The President of the Union Republic of Yugoslavia Vojislav Kostunica sent a message of greeting to His Holiness Alexy II, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, on the occasion of the Nativity of Christ and the New Year.

The message reads as follows:

Your Holiness,

I wholeheartedly greet You, archpastors, pastors, monastics of the Russian Orthodox Church and all the faithful joined by her both in and outside Russia on the blessed feast of the Nativity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In the New Year 2003 of our Lord, I whish you sound health and abundant spiritual strength, of which the fraternal Russian people are in need to achieve the saving transfiguration.
