METROPOLITAN KIRILL OF SMOLENSK AND KALININGRAD STAYS IN THE SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE DISTRICT OF THE CHINESE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC HONG KONG (SIANGAN)

On November 23, 2002, His Eminence Kirill, Metropolitan of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, DECR chairman, made a transit stop in the special administrative district of the Chinese People’s Republic Hong Kong (Siangan) on his way to Philippine.

During his stay in Hong Kong Metropolitan Kirill enjoyed the hospitality of Mr. Vnukov, consul general of the Russian Federation to Hong Kong.

Metropolitan Kirill met with fellow countrymen living in Hong Kong. During the conversation the faithful reaffirmed their desire for a regular spiritual care from a Russian-speaking priest. At the instance of those present Metropolitan Kirill conducted the blessing of water in the representation of the Aeroflot airline.

On the same day he departed for Manila.
