HIS HOLINESS PATRIARCH ALEXY THANKS FOR PRAYERFUL SUPPORT AND CONCERN

I thank all of you who have shown concern about my health and sent letters and cables of condolence. Your prayers and sympathy have helped me very much. By the mercy of God I feel well now. Every day I say my prayers, and the Divine Liturgy is celebrated in my hospital room on Sundays, during which I have the opportunity to receive the Lord’s Sacraments. I can communicate with those around me, read and write, although the doctors still restrict my activity. However, I hope to be released from my hospital “captivity” soon.
