An Orthodox fair on the occasion of the Transfiguration of the Lord will be held in the All-Russian Exhibition Center

AN ORTHODOX FAIR ON THE OCCASION OF THE TRANSFIGURATION OF THE LORD WILL BE HELD IN THE ALL-RUSSIAN EXHIBITION CENTER

On August 16-24, 2002, a fair on the occasion of the Transfiguration of the Lord will be held in the All-Russian Exhibition Center, pavilion №5, with the blessing of His Holiness Alexy II, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia. Synodal institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church, monasteries, parishes and domestic producers will participate in the event, presenting their religious production, consumer articles and information about their activity.

The organizers of the exhibition are the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Publishing Board of the Russian Orthodox Church, the United Science and Education Pavilion of the All-Russian Exhibition Center closed stock company. and the Discovery of Cultural Values Charity.

A chapel will be erected on the site. It will house the Gethsemane Cross with relics associated with the earthly life of our Savoir, a part of the relics of Holy Martyr Great Princess Elizabeth, and portrays of fifteen Russian Patriarchs by V. Shilov, Russian Federation’s Honoured Artist.

The fair will be opened on August 16, 2002 with a thanksgiving service.

The fair will work daily from 11.00 a.m. to 19.00 p.m.
