Clerics of the Russian Orthodox Church Pray for the Repose of Those Who Died in the Air Crash in Germany

CLERICS OF THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH PRAY FOR THE REPOSE OF THOSE WHO DIED IN THE AIR CRASH IN GERMANY

In connection with the Bashkir Airplane crash above the Boden Lake and tragic death of the passengers, many of whom were Orthodox faithful, clerics from Russian Orthodox parishes in Germany and Switzerland were sent to the place of the crash for spiritual support of the victims’ relatives.

The Orthodox prayerful service for the dead was conducted on July 4, Thursday, and was attended by the victims’ relatives, representatives of the Russian diplomatic corps, local authorities and citizens. Muslim clerics also said a prayer for the dead Muslims.
