Presentation of ‘Man of the Year’ Award

PRESENTATION OF ‘MAN OF THE YEAR’ AWARD

On 20 December 2001 a ceremony of presenting ‘Man of the Year’ national award was held. The Expert Council of the Russian Biographic Institute gave the title of ‘Man of the Year’ in the ‘Religion’ nomination to His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna, Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Archbishop Clement of Kaluga and Borovsk, first deputy chairman of the DECR and Archbishop Dimitry of Tobolsk and Tyumen for their outstanding educational activities and contribution to the strengthening of relations between the Church and the state. They were awarded the ‘Silver Cross’ and honourary diplomas.
