MOSCOW DIOCESE OPENS ITS OFFICIAL WEBSITE
The Moscow diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church opened on December 1, 2001, its official website with the address www.meparh.ru. It gives general information about the history and the present state of the diocese. It also gives the addresses and telephone numbers of all the monasteries and churches in the diocese. The site has a regularly renewed news section. It also publishes official documents of the diocesan leadership and announces forthcoming events. There is a photo archives of church life and e-versions of the Moscow diocesan periodicals. Links are given to Orthodox Internet resources with a special emphasis on the Orthodox websites existing in the Moscow Region. Subscription can be made to the news and church periodicals.
Monasteries, parishes, clergy and Orthodox laity are invited to cooperate with the diocesan website by giving links to personal sites and offering contributions from parish periodicals.
