Patriarch Alexy receives the Minister for the Interior

PATRIARCH ALEXY RECEIVES THE MINISTER FOR THE INTERIOR

On April 11, the Minister of the Interior of the Russian Federation, B. Gryslov, paid a visit to Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia in his working residence in Chisty Lane.

Participating in the meeting were also Bishop Savva of Krasnogorsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for the Armed Forces and Law-enforcement Agancies, and V. Vasilyev, deputy interior minister.

The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church congratulated Mr. Gryzlov on his new appointment and wished him success in not an easy service on this important state post.

His Holiness blessed B. Gryzlov and V. Vasilyev and gave them icons of their heavenly patrons, SST Boris and Vladimir, in memory of their meeting which took place on the threshold of the feast of the radiant Resurrection of Christ.
