HIS HOLINESS THE PATRIARCH MEETS WITH A DELEGATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIAN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia met with a delegation of the Republic of Serbian Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 25 at his residence in St. Daniel’s monastery. The delegation was led by the newly-elected President Mirko Sarovic and the chairman of the Serbian Democratic Party, Dragan Kalinic. They discussed the situation in the Balkans. “I was glad to receive the new leaders of the Republic of Serbian Bosnia and Herzegovina who came to Moscow for a visit”, His Holiness said in the conclusion of the meeting, adding, “I was in Sarajevo during the tragic events in Bosnia and Herzegovina and saw the people’s suffering. Today, thank God, there is no bloodshed there. Now the new leaders of the Serbian people of Bosnia and Herzegovina face the task of ensuring well-being in the region”. His Holiness wished God’s help to President Mirko Sarovic and peace and harmony to the peoples of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
