THE OLDEST CLERIC OF THE MOSCOW DIOCESE PASTED AWAY

Archpriest Alexander Yegorov, the oldest cleric of the Moscow diocese, died at 11. 30 on Sunday, March 5, 2000, at the age of 73 after a long and serious disease.

For forty eight years Father Alexander served as a priest in St. Elijah’s Built-in-One-Day in Moscow, where he has educated and edified several generations of parishioners. Among his charges are many clergymen and workers of the Orthodox Church who serve both in her canonical territory and in various parts of the world.

The funeral service will take place at 09.30 on Tuesday, March 7.
