Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad takes part in the International Conference ‘Orthodoxy in the Societies of Central-Eastern Europe and the Balkans’

METROPOLITAN KIRILL OF SMOLENSK AND KALININGRAD TAKES PART IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ‘ORTHODOXY IN THE SOCIETIES OF CENTRAL-EASTERN EUROPE AND THE BALKANS’

Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations, stayed in Turin, Italy, on February 27-28, at the invitation of Mr.Giovanni Agnelli, President of the Foundazione Giovanni Agnelli and owner of the ‘FIAT’ concern. Metropolitan Kirill participated in the International Conference ‘Orthodox in the Societies of Central-Eastern Europe and the Balkans: Historical Perspective and Contemporary Situation’ and presented a report on ‘The Orthodox Church and Faith in Face of the World Integration’.

Metropolitan Kirill met and talked with the Archbishop of Turin Severino Cardinal Poletto in Turin on February 27 and on February 28, Metropolitan Kirill gave a press conference and appeared on channel 1 of the Italian TV.
