THE FIFTH WORLD RUSSIAN PEOPLE’S COUNCIL WILL TAKE PLACE IN MOSCOW
With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia, who is the Head of the World Russian People’s Council, the Fifth Council will take place on December 6-7, 1999, at St. Daniel’s monastery, Moscow. The forthcoming public forum will hold a comprehensive discussion on the theme “Russia on the Eve of the 2000th Anniversary of Christianity: Faith, People, Power”.
The Council will be attended by leaders of the supreme legislative and executive administrations, regional governors, leaders of electoral associations and blocs, prominent scholars, cultural figures, educators, military commanders, representatives of major public organizations, bishops and clerics of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Journalists are invited to the opening of the World Russian People’s Council at 10 a.m. December 6 and to the press-conference at 2 p.m. December 7.
