THE SYNODAL WORKING GROUP MET AT THE DECR

The Synodal working group for developing a Conception of the Russian Orthodox Church on church-state relations and on problems of contemporary society as a whole met for a regular session on September 8 at the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The meeting was chaired by Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations.

The meeting considered and discussed some draft sections on the Conception.

The next meeting of the Synodal working group will take place on September 24, 1999.
