Condolences over the death of Catholicos Karekin

CONDOLENCES OVER THE DEATH OF CATHOLICOS KAREKIN
His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia sent the following telegram to the Armenian Catholicosate expressing condolences over the death of His Holiness Karekin, Patriarch-Catholicos of All Armenians:
“Kindly accept our profound and sincere condolences over the death of His Holiness Karekin, Patriarch-Catholicos of All Armenians. In this sad hour, we share the pain of the fraternal Armenian people and lift up our ardent prayers to the Lord that He may give rest to the soul of the blissfully deceased Catholicos Kerekin in the mansions of the righteous. May the All-Good Lord make his memory eternal”.
Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations, also sent a telegram of condolences to the Armenian Catholicosate. It reads:
“Profoundly saddened by the death of the Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church, His Holiness Patriarch-Catholicos Karekin of All Armenians, we ask from the bottom of our hearts to accept our profound and heartfelt condolences. We pray to our Lord Jesus Christ, the Master of life and death, that He may give rest to the soul of the Primate and faithful servant of the Armenian Church in the heavenly dwellings. May the Lord make his memory eternal.”
