Condolences upon the terrorist action in Vladikavkaz

CONDOLENCES UPON THE TERRORIST ACTION IN VLADIKAVKAZ

Grieved by the terrorist action which was committed in Vladikavkaz on March 19 and which has led to the loss of many lives, His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia sent telegrams to Metropolitan Gedeon of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz and Mr. A. S. Dzesokhov, President of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The telegrams state: “I am deeply mourning for the victims of the vicious terrorist action committed in Vladikavkaz today. Please assure the relatives and friends of the murdered innocent people of my sincere compassion. The new crime that poured blood on the land of North Caucasus which has already suffered so much echoed with strong pain in my heart. May the Lord grant eternal memory to those who were killed and speedy recovery to those who were injured and peace, common sense and victory over enmity to the people of the Caucasus and to us all”.
