His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II leads the opening ceremony of the Fourth ‘Orthodox Russia’ All-Church Exhibition

On 30 May 2006, a solemn opening ceremony of the Fourth ‘Orthodox Russia’ All-Church Exhibition was held in the ‘Gostiny Dvor’ exhibition centre.

The ceremony was led by the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church who addressed the audience.

Presidential envoy to the Central Federal District G.Poltavchenko read out the greeting of the head of the administration of the President of the Russian Federation S.Sobianin.

Also read out were greetings to the guests and participants of the exhibition from the State Duma speaker B.Gryzlov, Russian minister of regional development V. Yakovlev.

Present at the opening were Chairman of the Exhibition Organizing Committee Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, archpastors and pastors of the Russian Orthodox Church, official of the administration of the Russian President and the Moscow government, representatives of public organizations and cultural figures.

The participants in the opening ceremony viewed the exposition.
