On 27 March 2006, head of the educational institutions section of the Moscow Patriarchate Synodal Department for relations with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement agencies Rev. Alexander Shestak delivered a lecture to the cadets of the N.Ye.Zhukovsky Air Force Academy on ‘Lent and its Significance to Spiritual Life of Man’. Over 250 persons attended the lecture.
