Clergy speaking at a round-table conference on human rights

An international conference on Global Processes and Religious Diversity in Russia and the World was held on February 7-8, 2006, at the Russian State Humanitarian University in Moscow. It was attended by representatives of various religious organizations, as well as scholars, public figures and journalists. Rev. Mikhail Dudko, DECR secretary for church-society relations, was among speakers at the opening of the conference on February 7.

Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, DECR vice-chairman, And Rev. George Ryabykh, assistant to the DECR chairman, spoke at the round table on Religion and Human Rights held in the framework of the conference, focusing on the thrusts and progress in the work of the working group set up by the world Russian People’s Council to draft a church-public document on human rights and dignity.
